Canadiana Update for Members
**This event is for CRKN members only**
CRKN members are invited to join us at this webinar to get an update on Canadiana project milestones from the staff team. Already this year, there have been several major advancements in the Canadiana Collections and Infrastructure, and this webinar will serve as an opportunity to provide information for members and answer questions, so that, together, we can continue to drive the future of Canadiana as a valuable resource for researchers and all Canadians.
During the webinar we will get a sneak peek of Canadiana 2.0, the next iteration of the platform, as it prepares to enter its user testing phase. We will give an update on the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) funding, including the results of provincial matching and our next steps. We will also provide an overview of the new Heritage Content Access and Preservation (HCAP) fee structure. The Finance and Audit Committee has developed a new model based on member feedback from the Member Summit and AGM in October, and this model has been reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors. We will dedicate time at the end of the hour for your questions on all of these topics.
We invite all Directors and library staff from CRKN member institutions to be a part of this webinar. Recordings of the webinars will be made available afterwards for those not able to attend either session. We will offer simultaneous interpretation during the webinar through Wordly, an AI-powered platform that provides real-time translation and live captions. This tool enables attendees to participate and follow along in either English or French.
